Both individuals must apply in person together with a picture ID (driver's license or state ID) and know their Social Security Number. If you do not have an SSN, you need to bring your passport. No blood tests are necessary. License is good for 60 days anywhere in the State of Florida. Legal age for marriage is 18. If you are under 18, you must bring a certified copy of your birth certificate and a parent or legal guardian with proof of identification. For out-of state residents, there is no waiting period. If you are a Florida resident, the couple must either observe a 3-day waiting period or attend one of the state-certified marriage preparation courses. The course will also allow you a discount on the marriage license cost. You can be married by a minister, notary, or boat captain (on the water). Cost of the marriage license is $93.50 |
